I absolutely loved the peaceful and picturesque surroundings of The Bala'S Holiday Chalet. The beautiful gardens and landscapes created a perfect atmosphere for someone like me who wants to be in direct touch with nature. The cottage feel and lovely garden added to the charm of the place. The location, between Tanah Rata Town and Brinchang Town, made it convenient for exploring the attractions in Cameron Highlands. The staffs were kind and helpful, and the breakfast with a view was a delightful experience. Must try their delicious Scones and nasi lemak!

Felt cozy, nothing too much trouble.

We very much liked the location and the old building is great. As if you go back in (English) time. Great. The staff tries hard enough and are really friendly and helpfull. But sometimes it is as if they forget you are there and you have to remind them. At those moments they are busy with other work. Over all we would go back there!

Loved the cottage-style design and climbing up the steps to the beds in the attic. Reminded us of the story 'Goldilocks and the 7 dwarfs'. Also loved the atmosphere outside the rooms and enjoying morning breakfast, sipping our hot coffee in the cold and looking at the distant mountain view.

Should have breakfast included in the room rate. Having to line up to use only 1 toilet in our room for 6 people.The lights are too dim and it's a bit frightening.

I recently stayed at The Bala's Holiday Chalet for 3 days and 2 nights and I can't recommend it enough! The location is serene, with beautiful scenery and fresh air. The romantic ambience and super beautiful decoration made it the perfect stay for our honeymoon. The structure itself is fascinating, with an English cottage charm, moss-covered roofs, and a lush garden. The staff was super friendly and the dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious, allowing us to taste many British India specialties. a truly instaworthy experience!

Ur rules stated in web not.match with the hotel. I m very dissapointed n angry.

Greenies will love the place as it is very green and close to nature. The location is quite good too, although public transport is not accessible. We had our own car so it was quite convenient, 10 mins to Tanah Rata. But if you do not have your own car then commuting to the city might be a bit difficult.

The building is quite old and not maintained well. There were lizards in the room. The bathroom facilities are also old and rusty.According to me, Not so hygienic I will say. One bad experience was that the hotel staff gave our room "Family suite" to someone else and when we arrived they tried to push their lower class room (family quad) as our initially booked family suite for 4. The receptionist infact tried to convince us the suite that we booked looked like a quad! We were quite angry that they gave our room to someone else and instead of apologizing are trying to pull a fast one. But later Mr. Bala the owner was understanding and he upgraded us to a better suite. Also the next day when we shifted to quad he agreed on charging us the quad room price and not the suite price which we had initially booked, because the suite was not available for us and we had to shift back to quad for the 2nd night. The hotel is nice but they should be considerate that the customers have a certain preference in mind when they book a room and that is the room that should be reserved for them and made available on their arrival. If any change is acceptable, it is an upgrade and not a downgrade.

The only thing what we liked about this chalet it was the view from the window, for the rest it was a big disappointment for us.

- The price is too expensive for what you get. For this price you can find a really nice 4 star hotel - it is maximum a 2 star hotel and definitely not a 4. - the staff was very bad and from everything they were trying to get more money - the room was dirty and room had mold on the walls and ceiling. We would never recommend this hotel to other travellers.

The building design is beautiful.

The room was overpriced. The food is also overpriced. The pillow got some blood stains. The hot shower lasted for only few minutes. Got mosquitoes. Smelly bed. Towels got stains. Noisy.

The view from the hotel is stunning, perfect for Instagram. The room layout is cozy and private, with space for more people upstairs. The staff is helpful and polite, going the extra mile to provide information about nearby places. The hotel has a beautiful garden and good internet access. Parking is plentiful, and the restaurant is conveniently located below the accommodation.

Their room service is very poor & the people there not friendly.

Our family like the garden and fresh air.

Not safe to open windows at night for sleep because there is no grill. So have to close windows. Therefore the room is a bit suffocated without fresh air. Recommendation : provide small aperture which can be open or close above windows. The size of the aperture should be small to prevent people from sneaking into the room.

The hotel lacks proper maintenance, resulting in issues such as moldy rooms, windows that cannot be properly closed, and the presence of mosquitoes.

Nothing is good about Bala's Holiday Chalet. It was over marketed in internet website.

The maintenance is bad . Need very much of improvement. Not recommended for future visit. It was a one man show in the hotel. Rate/ day is very expensive and no worth for money paid. there are so many other new hotels are avail now.
